The village center is a 5 minute drive away. By bike or by car, it doesn't matter. You can also walk, about 20 minutes. It is always lively in Wimereux.
The promenade along the sea is the heart of the village. No high-rise flats here, but beautiful facades. And a wide beach (if it's not a storm surge;-). Ofcourse you will also find various restaurants and terraces here.
Parallel to the boulevard is the Rue Carnot, the shopping street.

The Opal Coast runs from Dunkirk to Berck. Inland: beautiful cycling routes and a variety of walks.
Boulogne-sur-Mer (5 min), is France's largest fishing port. The historic center is well worth a visit. You should also not miss 'Nausicaa', the world-famous aquarium.
And ofcourse Cap Griz Nez and Blanc Nez, overlooking the White Cliffs of Dover. But there is much more to explore...
